Housing Choice Vouchers
Section 8 vouchers welcome
We accept Housing Choice Vouchers from any housing authority, including Lawton Housing Authority and OHFA. The rent is the same rent listed on each home.
How it works
- 1
Find a home and tour it
Pick a home whose rent fits your voucher, then call or text us to tour it.
- 2
Apply with us
Each adult applies ($65 per adult). Our income test uses only the part of the rent you'll pay, not the full rent.
- 3
Request for Tenancy Approval (RFTA)
Once you're approved, bring us your housing authority's RFTA packet, or we'll fill it out with you. Either way works.
- 4
Housing authority review and inspection
Your housing authority reviews the rent and inspects the home. We coordinate the inspection with them.
- 5
Sign and move in
You sign the lease, we sign the housing assistance contract with the housing authority, and you get the keys.
What you'll pay
- Your share of the monthly rent, as set by your housing authority. The housing authority pays the rest directly to us.
- Move-in costs and deposit follow our standard rules: a $150 admin fee and a deposit based on your application results.
- Utilities in your name, like every MJASOK home.
